Hinges, runners, glass — add anything from the catalogue
L1, L2, W1, W2 are the edging on each side of the part.
Cutting mode, cut width and trim
Which mode Nesting packs closer but needs a router: a saw cannot reach a part surrounded by others.
Narrow parts go in the gaps. CNC only.
What these two do Kerf between parts; the trim comes off every board first.

Why not just divide the areas

Because offcuts are the wrong shape. Total part area divided by board area always under-counts the boards, sometimes by two or three on a kitchen. The only number you can order against comes from packing the actual rectangles.
