Privacy and terms

• You can work out a cut list here with no account and no cookie of ours.
• A file you send to be read, or to the assistant, goes to an AI model we pay for — that is the only way it can be read. We do not keep a copy of it on our servers for you.
• A copy of that file stays in your browser, attached to your cut list, and goes out again only when you send us a quote request. You can delete it in one click.
• A saved project lives on our side for 90 days from the last time you touched it, and anyone holding its link can open it.
• The plan is an estimate. Check it before anyone cuts anything.

Two things, and neither is your work:

• A daily count of paid actions — how many files were read and how many assistant messages were sent today, for you and for the service as a whole. It is a number in a file, one file per day. There is no cut list in it and no file in it.
• A short-lived counter in memory that stops one caller flooding the service. It is forgotten when the service restarts.

This service holds no database and stores no cut list, no drawing and no uploaded file on its own disk. That is deliberate: what is not stored cannot leak.

Reading a photo, a PDF or a spreadsheet, and every message to the assistant, is answered by a paid AI model. Your file and your message go to it. Plain-text files (Markdown, JSON, a log, a saved web page) are read in your browser and go across as text.

Conversations with the assistant are kept in our own back office so a person can look at what went wrong when you tell us it answered badly. That log holds the messages and the cut list on the screen at the time. It does not hold your email address unless you typed one into the conversation.

Please do not send us other people's personal data. A cut list is sizes and names of parts; it does not need anybody's address, phone number or documents.

When you send a file to be read, or show one to the assistant, a copy is kept in this browser, in its own storage, alongside your cut list. That is so the sizes you are looking at keep the original they came from, and so the workshop can see what you actually sent.

• Those bytes are not on our server, not in a saved project and not behind a project link.
• They leave your browser exactly once, and only when you press send on a quote request — then they travel with it to the person who prices your job.
• The last few files are kept, up to a sensible total; older ones drop off on their own.
• Forget them all under the upload box deletes them, immediately and for good.
• They are in the browser, so anyone using the same browser profile on the same computer can see them. On a shared machine, use Forget them all when you finish.

We do not accept files we cannot open. What we can open is checked by its actual contents, not by the name it was given.

Saving a project puts your parts, boards and settings on our side and gives you a link. Whoever has that link can open, change and delete the project — that is what makes it easy to send to a joiner, and it is also why the link is worth treating like a key. There is no password on it.

A project untouched for 90 days is deleted. Signing in with your email keeps your projects and your orders together in one place, and the sign-in link that arrives by email is single-use.

A quote request goes to a person on our team, with your list, your machining and any files you attached. An order raises a draft order in our shop for someone to check and confirm. Both are actions you take on purpose, with a button.

Prices shown here are for the boards themselves. Machining is not priced automatically — a groove, a hinge or a drilled row is quoted by a person, because how long it takes depends on the part.

Reading files and talking to the assistant cost us money per call, so there is a daily limit — the number left is shown next to the upload box and next to the assistant. Signing in gives you your own allowance instead of sharing one with everybody at your address. Typing or pasting your sizes, importing a CSV and calculating a plan are free and unlimited.

• The optimiser is free to use, as it is, with no promise that it will always be available.
• The plan is an estimate. Sheet counts, offcuts and costs depend on the numbers you entered and on the cut width you chose. Check them before cutting.
• Machine files (BPP, DXF) are produced from what you enter. They have not been proven on your machine. Run the first program on scrap, with the drawing in front of you, and check that the holes are on the edge you meant before you cut a real panel.
• We are not able to take responsibility for material cut wrong from a plan or a machine file that was not checked first.
• Use it for your own work. Do not use it to attack the service, to scrape it in bulk, or to send us anything unlawful.
• We may change what the free service does, and these terms with it. The date at the top says when it last changed.
